Do I need to register in order to post a comment?

Yes, you must register and log in to the discussion forum in order to post a comment.

How do I register?

To register, select “Create new account” from the User Menu on the left side of any page. This will take you to the registration page. Choose and enter a username and a valid email address, then click the “Create new account” button to complete your registration.

An email will be sent to you confirming the activation of your account.

How do I log in?

To log in the first time, click on the link that was sent to you in the confirmation email. It will take you to a page where you can set your password.

After setting your password, you can log in to the discussion forum from the User account page or from any of the pages where you can post a comment.

I forgot my password. How do I get a new one?

If you’ve forgotten your password, you will need to request a new password. Enter your user name or the email address you used when you registered for the discussion forum. An email will be sent to you so that you can log in and reset your password.

How do I report abuse?

If you find inappropriate language or behaviour, you can send us an abuse report. Click “report” under the specific comment.

How do I report a technical problem?

If you are experiencing technical difficulties, let us know by completing the online form.

Does the discussion forum use cookies?

Yes. The CRTC’s discussion forum stores a temporary cookie on your computer with details that are specific to your log in.

If I don’t allow cookies, will it restrict my access to the discussion forum?

Yes. While you will still be able to view the discussion forum and comments that have been posted, you will not be able to log into the site to post a comment.

If you still wish to share your views, you may send your comment to the CRTC Webmaster. Include the question you are commenting on. We will post your comment anonymously.

How does the “Search” function work?

The “Search” function scans the discussion forum for any or all of the terms you provide.

Both official languages will appear in your search results. Should you click to a page that is not in your default language, you will be brought to the corresponding page in the default language specified in your account settings.
